Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2020 Ford Edge is available in four trim levels: SE, SEL, Titanium, and ST. As you approach your new SUV, imagine it in your favorite colors. You have your choice between nine different paint colors, including Rapid Red, Atlas Blue, and Iconic Silver. All of the trims feature privacy glass on the rear doors, quarter panel, and liftgate windows. The acoustic laminate windshield keeps the outside noise level to a minimum as you drive.
The headlights are automatic and also turn on as soon as you put your wipers on. All of the trims except for the SE feature roof rack rails that provide extra storage space. They are an option on the SE.
Engine (Power)
The SE, SEL, and Titanium use a twin-scroll 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine. It produces 250 horsepower. They get 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The performance-driven ST trim uses a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter, V-6 engine that produces 335 horsepower. It gets 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
Performance
The Edge balances daily driving with performance. All four trims use an eight-speed automatic transmission with active warmup. The paddle shifters located on the steering wheel give you the responsive power of a manual transmission. Put your new ST into Sport mode and enjoy its enhanced throttle response. It also features a shift scheduling program that automatically adjusts to your driving style and changing road conditions.
Interior
As you open the door of these five-passenger SUVs, you'll notice a comfortable interior. A rotary shift knob replaces the traditional shift handle. The front console also features a larger storage bin and a convenient USB port. When it comes to technology, the Edge features SYNC 3 system with Ford plus Alexa. This means you can bring Amazon Alexa with you in the car to stay updated on the news. It also lets you shop from the driver's seat. The FordPass enables you to lock your vehicle from anywhere. It also helps you find the nearest gas station and parking spot.
Safety Features
The 2020 Ford Edge features the Ford Co-Pilot 360 safety suite. Some of the standard features in this suite include auto high-beam headlights. The lights automatically dim if there is another car approaching and then brighten up again after the other vehicle passes you. There is also a blind spot monitoring system with a cross-traffic alert. It sets off an alarm if a car or person is approaching from the side as you back out. The Lane Keep assist alerts you if the vehicle begins to drift out of your lane. It gives you time to bring the car back into your lane. It also alerts you if it is time for you to take a break.
