There’s now another reason to love the F-150, as America’s best-loved truck has gone electric. We discuss the five trim levels of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning.
Trim Levels of the 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning
1. Pro
New for 2025 is the Pro, an AWD truck that delivers 452 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque and can tow a 5,000-pound trailer. The Pro has the same bold design as the rest of the lineup, with model-specific details, including 18-inch black alloy wheels, daytime running lights, and adaptive LED projector headlights.
The vinyl-lined cabin features heated bucket seats at the front and is heated and cooled by dual-zone automatic climate control. Two 12-inch displays dominate the dashboard: a digital instrument panel and an infotainment touchscreen with integrated navigation and 4G Wi-Fi hotspot capability.
2. XLT
Building on the Pro, the XLT introduces more creature comforts, including a signature light bar, heated mirrors, and mirror-mounted LED spotlights. Carpeting elevates the luxury inside, and drivers now have a power-adjustable seat and pedals to help configure the cockpit to their liking. Ford also upgrades the XLT’s tech with a 360-degree camera and a larger 15.5-inch infotainment display.
3. Flash
The Flash builds in capability by gaining an extended-range battery, 20-inch carbonized gray wheels, all-season tires, and LED box lighting. ActiveX now lines the cabin, including the driver’s 10-way adjustable power seat. A Bang & Olufsen audio system improves the sound quality throughout the interior.
4. Lariat
Another power boost sees the Lariat make 580 horsepower, enabling this F-150 to shoot from 0 to 60 in just 3.8 seconds. In addition to gaining a geometric gray metallic grille, this trim gains convenient upgrades, including a power tailgate with integrated step, power-folding mirrors, and security approach lights.
A twin-panel moonroof gives the cabin a light and airy feel. Front passengers receive heated and ventilated seats, and those in the rear also enjoy the warmth from heated seats. The center console now converts into a flat surface or laptop table. Trailering assistance is provided by hitch guidance and a trailer reverse guide.
5. Platinum
Heading the lineup is the Platinum, the most well-equipped and luxurious F-150 of all. The exterior gains a glossy gray grille and 22-inch machined wheels, while multi-contoured Nirvana leather and light oil-rubbed bronze trim jazz up the interior. A sound upgrade gives you a B&O Unleashed audio system. Ford’s highest trim level is also equipped with a Max Trailer Tow Package, which boosts the towing capacity to 8,500 pounds.
The Lightning builds on the iconic F-150, becoming more efficient while remaining as capable and powerful as its gas counterpart. If you’re ready to experience the pickup of the future, contact us or drop by Spikes Ford in Mission, TX, and check out the full F-150 lineup today.
